Mobile RV Pre-Purchase Inspections
Pre-Purchase Inspections
How We Perform Pre-Purchase Inspections
The inspection typically includes checks of:
- Structural Integrity: Looking for signs of water damage, rust, or cracks in the frame and body.
- Engine & Mechanical Systems: If it’s a motorized RV, the engine, transmission, brakes, suspension, and exhaust systems are evaluated.
- Electrical Systems: Checking wiring, outlets, lights, batteries, and the overall electrical system’s functionality.
- Plumbing: Inspecting the water systems, including tanks, pipes, faucets, and the water heater.
- Appliances & HVAC: Verifying that all appliances like the refrigerator, stove, microwave, air conditioning, and furnace are in working condition.
- Tires & Suspension: Ensuring the tires are in good shape and checking the suspension system for any signs of wear.
- Interior Condition: Looking for any signs of mold, mildew, or damage to the interior furnishings and fittings.
- Exterior Condition: Checking for dents, scratches, leaks, or any other exterior issues.
Having an RV pre-purchase inspection performed by an RV technician can help buyers avoid unexpected repair costs and ensure they’re getting a quality RV.
